The production of roof windows FENESTRA was started in the year 1986.

Ing. Václav Soukup (author of the first model of roof windows PRIMA) founded the family company FENESTRA in 1990. The company´s main scope of activity was the production and a continuous development of FENESTRA roof windows.

In 1997, the company FENESTRA střešní okna, s.r.o. was created to ensure whole sale distribution of the roof windows FENESTRA until 1 January 2004 when it took over all activities of the company Ing. Soukup Václav – FENESTRA and became a production and trading company. The company FENESTRA střešní okna, s.r.o. is now the biggest producer of roof windows in the Czech Republic. High quality and short delivery terms are ensured by 50 employees.

The production premises are located in the community of Šťáhlavice (district Plzeň-Jih). >From there, windows are distributed to any part of the Czech Republic free of charge. After the extension of the production capacity to 25 000 windows a year, a new administrative building with a training center was built and approved. Training of assembly companies' staff are organized in the center mainly in winter months. The quality and technical expertise of the assembly of windows in roof constructions guarantees 100% satisfaction of the users of w FENESTRA roof windows.

The subsidiary FENESTRA EXPORT, s.r.o. is our partner for deliveries abroad. The most important markets for our company are: Slovakia, Greece, Austria, Israel, Jordan, Palestine. An attractive market for us is emerging in the distant Kenya, we have shipped the first delivery of 22 windows for the Czech embassy in Nairobi. Based on this successful reference we received another contract for 64 roof windows for family houses in Kenya.
